v-studio 100 preamps

Does anyone know what the allowable gain levels are on the preamps? If that is the right question...
 
They're supposed to be pretty good quality preamps. Prob better than what I had in my M-Audio Mobile pre unit. Just not sure how you determine how good the preamps are at boosting signal, etc..

I don't know much about preamps other than they boost the signal basically.
