No, Sonars biggest weak point for me is it does not include a wave editor. Drove me nuts at first after using Cubase which does have a wave editor. I love Wave lab and have spent more time working with that software than any other audio program.
The work around is you can acsess the wave editing program installed in your computer using Sonar's "tools" option. This is an exceptable workaround. I used it successfully with Sonar 8.5, and Wave lab 5, but cannot get it working now with X3 and Wave lab 7. ( 64 bit)
For me with 8.5 the Wave editing software had to be installed before I installed Sonar for it to recognize it. There is a 3 page instruction listed in the knowledge base about how to add a wave editor to the tools menu after the fact. It didn't work for me.
For now if I really really want to use the wave editor. I close the project in Sonar, open the Wave editor and browse for the audio file. You can work on it as long as you don't change the format or cut the beginning off. Then save it and when you open the project again it will be updated.
