weird problem with sounclips 'moving'

Hi,
Im in the process of recording a demo using 'Guitar tracks pro' and am suddenly having this weird problem... Basically if I delete a soundclip (such as a vocal line or guitar lick) in a track on the 'edit' view then all subsequent soundlips in that same track 'move' or jump forward and go out of sync with the rest of the song! Ive tried moving them back in place but they never align back up properly!
Could this be a slow pc causing all this? Its a 2 gb processor (not sure of type or make) 512ram and 160GB hard drive.
Ive never had this problem before, normally if i delete a soundclip in a track all the later soundclips in that track stay in place where they should be, Ive never known them to suddenly 'jump' forward before...

Anyone know what is causing this or had this problem before?? Any help would be very appreciated.

    Select the clip, right click it and go to edit-delete. Is 'delete hole' checked? If so, un-check it. A slip of the mouse could have activated that by accident.

    btw - you could do with some more RAM, 1 GB would ease the pressure!

    Hi, thanks for the fast response. Just checked and its 'Guitar tracks Pro 2.0' (dunno if that makes any difference) but when i right click i dont get a 'edit-delete' option it just says 'delete'. do you know where i would find this option on version 2.0?? Sounds like that is what is responsible to me, cheers mate :)

    Hi again Paul,

    I'm working with Home Studio, so I was hoping that would be the same in GT. Do you see the 'delete hole' option in the 'delete' menu'? If ain't there then I'm misleading you, so apologies in advance!

    Edit - This is what I'm hoping is there;
