whHow to load a .sfz patch

Hello

I have some synth sample packs in wav format - they also come with .sfz patches which i have read are cakewalk compatible. Can someone tell me what softsynth I can load .sfz patches into?

I have HS6 with dimension LE, TTS1, Sqaure1 etc...

I know I can load .sfz into session drummer2, but that doesn't seem ideal for a synth!

Many thanks.

Set Up:
OS: Win 7 Professional (64 Bit)
Sonar Vesion: Sonar Professional
Audio Interface: Edirol UA25
Control Surface: Novation ReMOTE XeRO SL
Synth / Midi Control: Yamaha QS300 (Yup, still works after all these years)

Dimension LE will load them, as will just about any Cakewalk synth. You load the .sfz file into the "element" of a Cakewalk synth.

Hmm. I may be being very stupid but when I tried loading an element in Dimension LE, it only looks for a .prog file. I tries searching for all files and forcing it to take a .sfz without sucess.

    drop zone was the same?

I even tried loading the VST demo version of SFZ+ from Cakewalk but that wants a .SF2 format!!

    Help!
What am i doing something wrong?

ok just above the elements in Dim pro and LE.. there is a window.. between that and the prog .. the first window..

notice if you load a program.. you and close the browser, you'll see "fred.prog".. BUT directly underneath should be "fred.sfz" or wav..etc

if you click on that pane it'll allow you to load the sfz..  and then you can save out a prog also.
