Right-click in the audio track's effects (FX) bin and see if you have the Sonitusfx Equalizer. It has a preset called Telephone which can make it sound telephony.

i couldn't find Sonitus in any shape or form and i did click in every single sound effect on the panel.  i also tried under Process.  i have ParamEQ which i tried in different ways but it doesn't make the clip sound telephony. even when i twiked some of the parameters.

    thanks,

Boosting the mids and cutting the lows makes it telephony.

    Hi, Sirena.
Here's an image of what the EQ curve looks like in the Sonitusfx EQ, Telephone preset. I tried to get the EQ curve in the Parametric EQ to match as closely as I could, but it's not easy getting a nice curve like in the Sonitus. If you do the same and work at it, you should be able to get it pretty close.

You can see how the EQ drops sharply below 500 Hz and above 2000 Hz. Tweak your EQ until you have something that works.
I know the difficulty you have in downloading things since your computer isn't connected to the internet and you have to use a public computer, but there are probably some free EQs out there that you can download and use.
