Sorry Bruce. That has to hurt. I do know I am awaiting this update with more than usual anticipation. I have no idea why that is either.

The "next" update already happened on March 22nd. It sounds like the problem people in this thread are having is that the time travel plug-in is installed incorrectly, because the system has gone back in time to before the update. Go to the plug-in preferences (alt-click on the little time travel logo in the upper right corner) and enter a date of March 23rd (not the current date) and the Command Center should then show the update is installed.

However, a known limitation is when you reset the time, you will have to re-live everything you did since March 23nd. Unfortunately this doesn't mean you can do anything differently, because you won't remember what you did...it wouldn't have happened yet.

I see what you've done there Craig; introducing an extraordinarily complex time travel feature for the sole purpose of finally making audio snap time manipulation appear relatively easy. Clever.

John, I think the reason for "more than usual anticipation" is because Craig said he submitted a 28 page E-zine. Subliminally we must think there must be something quite tasty coming out of the oven to warrant a 28 page E-zine. I too find myself giddy for this release. I am hooked on the tasty morsels coming out of the Bakers' oven.

That's about typical for recent eZines, though (Marblehead was 31 pages, Newburyport 25, Jamaica Plain/Lexington/Kingston were 27, etc.). Remember, the eZine has a lot more in it than just info on the release itself, like the "Anatomy of a SONAR Project," the featured review, BlogBeat, applications, etc. I'm trying to turn it into an actual magazine of interest to the SONAR community that adds value to the update, not just the "release notes" that typically accompany software updates.

Thank you for the clarification. Well maybe it's the "Coming this Spring" goodies on the web page. I am more than a little interested in the "core editing" updates.

I have to admit that I really like the editing workflow currently in SONAR. I am all for improvements, but a little scared at the prospect of having to change my workflow. I hope that SONAR does not change the general editing workflow to be like Pro Tools. I like the method SONAR uses. But I remain optimistic.

I own Pro Tools 12 (I got it as a perk from one of my corporate jobs). I installed it and learned some of it just to broaden my horizons, but I really do not like it, much preferring SONAR. There are a couple of features that are nice which would be cool for SONAR, but the general workflow in SONAR is much more to my liking.

I'm ready for the "O".

I think what you'll find is you won't have to modify your existing workflow, just incorporate new elements (e.g., like having Drum Replacer instead of having to drag in WAV files and line them up with drum hits).
