when midi import won't play through rapture session-workaround

I build a midi in Finale 2008 which imports ok as GM but either won't play at all or the synth sounds (Rapture Session) are too soft.
I really like those weird sounds so I finally got a work-around:

1) In the Event List, delete all the pre-note info (usually it's in another color.)
2) Copy the events
3) Insert a new synth instrument track and paste.

Hope this helps someone. I've gotten a lot from these forums.

Cakewalk sfz engine synths shutdown when they encounter unexpected MIDI data. In addition to cleaning up the MIDI data another thing that helps is enabling "Do Not Intercept NRPNs" in the plug-ins VST Properties.

The image shows SI-Bass but all VST2/3 plug-ins have this option.

I did come across that info, but I can't find anything like it in my program.

    Sonar Artist 2018, Windows 10
Instruments from Rapture Session (the free add-on)
So, where is that screen hidden?? :)

There should be a VST2 or VST3 button at the top of the Rapture Session UI unless the project is using the 32bit version of Rapture Session in 64bit SONAR. If the header looks like this

(Note: this is a picture of the top of a different 32bit plug-in but 32bit Rapture Session would look similar)
it is the 32bit plug-in. Look for the 64bit version of the synth. If it is not there, install it. All 64bit VST2/3 plug-ins have the drop down above their UI.
