where are the midi output port assignments stored?

Where are the midi output port assignments stored? I just upgraded everything to 8.5 my computer to win7 and had to purchase an M-Audio Fast Track pro for my audio interface and midi output to my Vocal harmonizer. M-audio was the only interface I could find supporting win7 at the time of purchase. My question is, why do my midi tracks in every song generate the dialogue box saying my fast track pro is not available? When i click the drop down box arrow to choose a new midi out put, the only option is - M-Audio Fast Track pro! With a different number ie 2-Fast Track Midi Pro missing, the replacement option is 3-Fast Track Midi Pro. But it is the same Fast track Midi Pro. I thought if I could find where the midi ports are stored I could change the name there and make all well. And yes I did already try the midi devices selection box. Also i downloaded and re-installed the drivers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What's in MIDI Devices is stored in TTSSEQ.INI. I didn't follow your issue exactly, so I don't know if editing it is going to help. If they aren't showing properly in MIDI Devices, something's likely wrong with the driver setup.
