will an ssd help samples load and unload faster?         on C:\

like kontakt samples.

Some tunes, it takes like 30 seconds for the memory to clear once I close a song. Is that normal?

Sample load times will be faster with a SSD.
I wouldn't expect sample "unloads" to be significantly faster.  Most of the time there is freeing up RAM buffers.

Thanks Jim.  Is that normal for Sonar to take like 30 secs to unload a bunch (maybe 8) of synths and samples.
(and, I was talking about an ssd as a C: boot drive)

    Thanks

It depends on the amount of samples in each of those libraries.
As for the SSD as boot HD.  That won't affect sample performance.
