windows 7 compatibilty with cwhs 2002 xl

I'm thinking of buying a new laptop with windows 7, I'm using sonar hs 7 and i use my fx from my cwhs 2002xl because they rule. I had to take vista off my current laptop and had to load xp on it so I could use my old fx and I was hoping that windows 7 would be able to use my old fx from cw2002xl? Does anybody out there know?

    Try it; it won't hurt.
    After installing, right-click the CHS icon and run the compatibility wizard, or whatever it's called. Do the same for the executable file on the hard drive. And set to Run As Administrator.
    Maybe it will work...

    I doubt it will work 7 and vista are almost the same as far as how they work 7 is just less irritating. If it does work in compatibility mode keep in mind that it will only take advantage of 3GB of memory.
    Something you could try is purchasing an external hard drive and installing XP an your software on that i haven't tried it but it should work.
