would you please proof a mix?

i have two songs that i feel are ready for printing but i want to be sure.

"Signs of Weakness" and "Justone."

I would love for you fellas to give a quick listen and comment on any problems that still exist. pitch issues, mud, effects. too little, too much, ect.

I am about to give a sync license to a fella for a car show video. He wants to play my music over some crazy videos of new cars....so i want this to be right....

please let me know what you think..i dont mean to be a repeat poster but this is important to me..

    Signs:

the only thing I would mention is that while the guitars are appropriately panned, I would get a little something of them in the middle, to back up the rhythm section just a bit.
Vocals could come up a hair.

    Justone:

Maybe a little more reverb on the snare. And same thing as above.

Signs - sounds great!  The track really rocks.  I may have not noticed by I think James is right about putting a 3rd guitar on the middle.

    Justone - great track also!

Cool stuff man! Sounds to me somewhat like a mix between Alice in Chains and Tool. I like it!  Only nitpick from me is on "Signs of Weakness" I would have put more affects on the vocals and/or added more harmonies to fill it a little more, but that's just a matter of taste.

Dedicated rocking, dude! The singing is particularily great!

I think a little room type reverb across the tracks would add a bit of depth to the soundstage. Would need to be very subtle, though. It's a matter of taste, but I feel like the tracks are a little too isolated from eachother so a hint of room could do this some good IMO. I'm guessing you used Superior 2 here. Have you tried compressing the hell out of the drum room mic and bringing it up? Might add a bit of life and power to the drums!

I also feel there's room for a hint more low end here.

    good answers, all good...

has anyone listened with subs? I have none so its hard to tell if someones stereo had bass boost on, that it would produce too much bass in the 60hz (i assume) area. I took the mix to a friends house but his stereo was one of those walmart 3 disc changers and the standing waves in his room were terrible..but the bass was so loud in the 60-80 range with the bass boost on. too much. cant hear that in my car or in the studio.

so do you think a fresh take down the middle would do, or just turn it from 100% L/R to 85% L/R?
