x1 project locks up when closing

x1 project locks up when closing

I am just now switching over to X1 from 8.3.  I have started, opened and closed several projects successfully for a few days.  Today when I closed one project, the project closed but didn't save, X1 locked up and I got an error message.  I could only exit sonar with cntl alt del. This project was working fine. It does it every time I open and close it.   I didn't add any plugins to it. There is an nvidea warning that I am getting after sonar closes.  I have never seen it before and it only shows up after the hard shut down of this project. All other x1 projects are working fine. Any ideas why just this one project?

    what was the error message?  it's important to know exactly what sonar is telling you (us).

    are these the same error messages or are you seeing TWO messages?  if so, what do EACH of them say exactly?

    thanks for responding Beagle.  I know more about music than computers (but not much more!) so bear with me .  I just went back and tried it again.  It does save the project.  But the microsoft error report pops up. A dr. watson postmortem debugger popped up once, first time I'd seen that.  The nvidea popup never occurred again. Project seems to be working fine.  This only happens when closing. My music computer isn't online. 
    Beagle one message says sonar encountered a problem and is closing down. It had an error signature
    Appver 18.0.244 mod
    name ntdll.dll
    mod ver  5.1 26
    I have info on the dr. watson issue if needed.  The error signature.  Thanks

    no worries, I understand about being a musician first.

    that looks like a call to a windows browser problem, but you said this computer's not on the internet, so it may be a program using a browser type interface, including sonar or a plugin. 

    this is probably above my pay grade, if someone else doesn't come in with help I'd suggest calling tech support.  they'll very likely want you to email them the Dr. Watson report as well.

    Normally I close a project and then close sonar.  Every time I closed out that way with this one project sonar would lock up.  Then with the project open I tried shutting sonar down.  It shut down fine.  I reopened sonar and the project.  Now the project will close properly.  Go figure.
