x1d and its predecessors

I'm convinced I must be the most basic, unsophisticated user of SONAR in all the world.  Every time a new product update such as x1d is made available I get all excited, thinking that some of the glitches I've seen will be fixed as well as new and fancy additions to discover.  All the air is quickly let out of my tires when I discover that the vast majority of changes are of the most esoteric, microscopic, and usually incomprehensible type imaginable.  I conclude that the users of SONAR who make use of and appreciate these updates are so far ahead of me in their application of the product that I couldn't begin to understand what on earth they're doing.
