z3ta+2 & audio dropouts

My Lynx soundcard application reports incidences of audio dropouts. Sometimes, I can hear them. At first, I thought that this was a problem with my new PC, but I have narrowed this down to z3ta+2; these dropouts only occur when using this particular SW synthesizer. I also use Alchemy, Rapture, and others, with which I do not see this problem. The dropouts occur whether I am using z3ta+2 standalone or withing Sonar X1. Anyone else have a similar experience? thanks Keith

I find that I get drop-outs using the "Showcase" presets, unless I really crank up my latency -- to the point where I can't play it in real time. These presets seem to be really demanding of resources. I'm not having much trouble with the more "regular" sounds.

I did notice some hissing and distortion which I think were very short dropouts this evening. I had 2 z3ta 2 tracks open. One had midi data and the other I was playing real-time and I noticed some dropouts on the real-time one. I think like the above poster said, some of the programs for it are pretty resource demanding. I'll try freezing one of the tracks tomorrow and see if that resolves the issue.

I checked it this morning and it turns out it had nothing to do with the synth.  I had the levels turned up too much and it was clipping.  My bad!

I have discovered something else. I notice these dropouts when using Rapture and Z3ta+2 (each 64-bit). These dropouts do not occur when using any other of my software synthesizers: Alchemy (64-bit) Korg Legacy analog and digital editions (using jbridge) RMV (64-bit)

the majority of Z3ta's presets have really hot levels... i find i pretty much turn down the output on the synth to 50%
