z3ta+ broken - severe bug 1.5.3

We got a report about that in 1.5. We fixed it for the bank and program patches in 1.5.1. The issue persisted for .128 files, then it was fixed in 1.5.3 IIRC.

We heard from two customers who were seeing the issue in 1.5.3, but it turned out to be they had manually moved 1.5.2 installation so the installer wasn't updating all files. Here's the procedure I suggested to install 1.5.3:

I can verify that it is indeed still present in 1.5.3 - the preset bug that is.

In fact - on a fresh install of z3ta 1.5.3 , just load the bank "v13 default.fxb"
click on bank A, and preset 000.  Click over to Bank C - You should hear the nasty result!
Also notice that none of the quality settings are set on any preset in the entire bank A-F.

Any bank saved with a version prior to 1.4 will exhibit this problem (possibly because that was when the oversampling option was added).  I know it's merely a matter of loading the older bank in 1.4 and saving it out again, but I would think that Cakewalk would have at least fixed the preset bank included with its own installation.  AND it should have been made more public


Another Question: Are presets NOT backward compatible?
I have a bank of presets that were created using 1.5.3.  They fail to play or sound bad when loaded into 1.41.   I notice the author has made a lot of use of  FM & PM in the presets.

Hi Jere-David. I can't reproduce either of these problems with z3ta+ in SONAR 8.5.3 x64. Which patches are you swapping/auditioning? Might be an interoperability issue specifically with Ableton.
