z3ta+ cmp to midi converter

I have read a post 'somewhere' that discussed there being a converter so I can deconstruct an arpeggio, that it supposedly resided in some folder.  However, it ain't there.  I've googled about for the .exe, but can't find it.  Where is it?  How do I get it?

I'm running X1 Producer on a clean install.

Don't where mid2cmp.exe went but it did exist in early 2007 http://www.kvraudio.com/f...w.php?t=167260&start=0 It may have been removed after they added the "Import MIDI file to Arpeggiator" function in 1.5

I have 1.5.  Follows is all that is available in the documentation for doing this; which doesn't tell me squat on how to do.   The info is also not in the z3ta manual (.pdf).

Import MIDI file to Arpeggiator function     Now you can import any MIDI file into z3ta+ arpeggiator, directly. A reference to the MIDI file is stored with the program, and automatically recalled on program recall.

OK, I figured out how to import a mid file into the arpeggiator.  That is half of the task.  How do you export a .cmp file to a .mid file so I can screw with it?

I am unaware of a decompiler for cmp files.

I don't know how much of this is backwards compatible, but in X2 and Z3ta+2, there's a simple way to do it.   You create a blank midi track and then click on the arpeggiator graph in the synth that contains the pattern you want to convert, and drag and drop to the midi track.  It will create a midi clip that can be edited.

fwiw the arps in z3ta+2 are the same as the ones in z3ta+.  in the classic content directory locate the patch you want then do what wr said, drag the pattern to a midi track. :D

That feature alone is totally worth the $49 upgrade.  Thanks.
