Other than writing down all the settings in each part of the Z3TA+ editor, I don't think so.
I've taken a Z3TA+ preset I didn't like much and busted it down to zero and built something totally different from it. I've also taken a preset and altered some the settings to make a similar preset that works well with the original. There may be a sfz. editor that will do it.

You can see what is inside with any hex editor. Unfortunately you will probably not understand what you see. You will have more luck with Crg's method of loading the file, then tweaking the settings in the program. Z3ta+ is probably the best file editor available for this kind of work.

rene would be the only person with the source code perhaps..

thing is , what does it strip from the midi.. e.g. anything that isn't needed.

You're speaking of a hexadecimal editor I presume. You're right, I wouldn't catch a bit of it. Hexadecimal values escape me.Their relation to sfz's and midi is something I haven't found the data for. The source codes. Another mystery. What were they written in? Down to 1's and 0's and some obscured code no doubt.

I believe the OP is talking about the older Arp file format. I don't think anybody has converted a .cmp into a midi file but I could be wrong.

I'd just be happy if Z3ta's Arp would load midi files properly as advertised.

+1 to that, but I guess there's not much chance of that.  It's a shame that z3ta+ doesn't get more support, 'cos it remains a most distinctive sounding synth.
