z3ta+ problem in Sonar

Hi,

I have this bizzare problem:
Sonar does not see and does not load the z3ta+ synth, but it does see and loads the FX version.
This is the 1.4 version bought from RGC Audio in 2004.

I had to install z3ta+ on my laptop as my main music PC is in service. So, the installation goes fine. The Sonar plugin scan goes fine, but it does not see the synth dll. It does see and registers the FX versions ( two of them). The weird thing is, the stand alone z3ta+ works just fine, so there's nothing wrong with the installation, i would assume. What is the problem ? Has anyone come across this ?

I'm currently waiting for Cakewalk support to send me a serial number so that I can use the new 1.5.3 version, but I'm still flabergasted as to why Sonar does not see the synth dll, but it does see the FX dll ?

Thanks for any suggestions. :-)

what system are you using? if you are in a 64 bit environment, maybe your vst scanner is looking for a 64 bit plugin, and i think that is the 1.53 version

3.5 Ghz AMD 6-Core/16 gigs RAM, Roland Quad-Capture, Win 10, Cakewalk by Bandlab, Komplete 10, z3ta+, Z3TA+ 2, Rapture, Maschine 2.7 (MKI & Jam), Melodyne 4 Studio, Ozone 4, Jam Origin MIDI Guitar 2, Schecter Damien Elite, Fender Sonoran w/TronicalTune Plus installed, etc

It's Xp 32 bit.  And as I explained, the FX dll works.

I believe that Z3ta+ is DXi only and not VSTi, although the FX is VST.

The original RGC Audio purchase contains both the VST and DXi. It is definitely a VST dll.

In the meantime Cakewalk support remians silent....
