z3ta+: quickest way to mute an oscillator?

Hello,

I just cannot believe there's no on/off button for each of the z3ta+ oscillators.

So, the quickest way to mute an oscillator - very important during sound design - is setting its volume to 0 or setting its wave to "Off"?

This is a little workflow killer...

Any hint?

Thanks,
Mario

Wow, I'm very pleased to see a Cakewalk Head answering directly to my question :)

Thanks Chad, I appreciate an awful lot your suggestion, but there are a couple of points that make your workaround a little difficult for my setup and workflow:

    - My master keyboard sliders (old Yamaha SY-85 synth) send SysHex messages instead of normal MIDI CCs, and they are not motorized, so if I use the sliders for other things too, when I go back to the synth GUI they are very likely at the wrong value.

    - I hope you'll agree that an on/off button for each oscillator directly in the synth GUI would be much more comfortable - you don't have to set the exact right level each time you have to mute/unmute an oscillator. The ability to quickly enable/disable oscillators is capital (for me) during sound design, and I find it strange this has never been raised before.
Given the high level of customer consideration I always see in the Cakewalk guys, I'm confident this can be considered as a very useful feature request, since it would easily and strongly augment the multilayer sound design experience of Z3TA+.

    Thanks,
    Mario
