Full PDF user manual? Please answer.

I've read a few posts saying this is not included in the download. I definitely need a manual to figure out this new beast. I've put all other DAWs I own to the side to learn X1 so an in-depth manual would be really helpful.  For me personally,  the main course in X1 Producer  (the reason why I bought Producer 8.5) is the Pro Channel. X1's streamlined work-flow is the gravy. Maybe that's backwards to some, but I like to have the best tools for shaping and coloring sound. Are we going to get access to a manual that explains it-as well as X1's other features? Please?

Thanks.

From viewing all the video's I'm suppose to view while downloading.. X1 is so intuitive, you don't need a manual!!! Right?  I wouldn't know....still waiting in que for the email.

-And in the meantime, we gotta fiddle around, end up getting frustrated and uninstalling X1. Well, at least I can always work with 8.5. That manual is only 1500+ pages right? Piece of cake! Pun-in-tended

Maybe.  I've looked everywhere I could think of -- offline and online.  I can't find it yet.

As this was considered the public release, or gold release in life cycle terminology, I would expect a completed manual.  Perhaps it's just me, but it's still in testing if you can't document it's features fully.

I think it's due time for someone from Cakewalk to step up and tell us what's really going on with this. Did they think we wouldn't want a manual? C'mon man...

It's all part of their new 'green' corporate philosophy. They don't even want you to have the PDF for fear you may print something out of it and kill a tree.

Man, I'm on a roll today with the one liners. Perhaps I better switch to decaf.

I usually go to Help | Help Topics (edit: now 'Getting Started') for my manual.

It's a lot faster to search through a virtual, virtually identical manual.

In X1 there's only a few help items, not a complete "Reference Guide" (ie, full manual) YET.

Apparently it wasn't ready to include in the download. I guess all the new details aren't in there yet.
Maybe they've put a new face on that too instead of just adding whatever the new version adds to the programs repertoire
