It’s its own thing, Zo. Even though they’re a bit aseptic, I do like these phrases, but we’re not talking Shreddage 3 here ;)

(with a sing song voice) Somebody got a new 2019 word of the day calendar. Seriously, aseptic is how they sound to me but some saturation or delay or chorus could germaficate them real goodly.

It's Bass, not Bass.

Thanks for this thread, Fleer. I picked up my two packs last night after seeing this thread. Without it I probably would have forgotten to check the site for the latest freebies (I've done that in the past, as I have so many emails that I often don't check the promo ones and miss the Focusrite ones).

Can anyone tell me if I can download these into more than one computer? I originally put the Focusrite plugs in my laptop. I would love to have these in my main PC.

Hi Tim, I found this on the AAS website:

Can I re-authorize Ultra Analog VA-2 if I upgrade or change my computer, or have a computer crash?

The license agreement for Ultra Analog VA-2 allows authorization on up to two computers which belong to you. You might need, however, more than two authorizations if for example, you get a new computer or change some piece of hardware such as the hard drive. In these situations, it won't be a problem to obtain additional authorizations.
With your product serial number, you will be able to generate two different authorizations every 90 days directly from our website. Beyond that threshold, you will have to provide an explanation of why you need an additional authorization.

So, wait, for the Strum GS2 soundpacks (e.g., Latini Vibes), you get patches AND loops/strummed patterns?
I don't have Strum, so I would use the free player, in case that changes something.

As for Strum GS2 the answer is positive. Don’t know about the free Swatches player though.

I have got quite a few paid expansions for the player but I picked these two up and went for Abstractions and Starlight. Both from VA 2 synth engine. I am super happy with the broad range of sounds just those two libraries cover. Like all AAS synths the sound is very solid and organic and can sound very electronic as well.

Specs i5-2500K 3.5 Ghz - 8 Gb RAM - Win 7 64 bit - ATI Radeon HD6900 Series - RME PCI HDSP9632 - Steinberg Midex 8 Midi interface - Faderport 8- Studio One V4 - iMac 2.5Ghz Core i5 - Sierra 10.12.6 - Focusrite Clarett thunderbolt interface

Of the newer ones, Solids and Octagon are pretty amazing. I’m happy AAS added these and more to the original list when I asked them, so now all of us can enjoy the full selection. You can even pick their very latest Power Chords.

Sadly no, but the free Swatches player will.

- Power Chords
- Cinematix
- Digital Sins
- Octagon
- Ultra FX

And these are the remaining ones I'm not getting due to lack of affinity:
- Technocracy
- Pivotal
- Low End Theory
- Sounds from BLKRTZ
- 30.6676 Hz

Cool beans!

Haven't heard of this one. Is it the new Barbara Stanwyck pack?

Just saw this. And yes it is. Presets with lots of "plosives", if you know what I mean.

It's Bass, not Bass.

Some time ago I bought "Good Folks" 'cos I thought I can use it in Strum Session, but as said above I was wrong! But I managed to integrate the MIDI stuff of it in Strum Session and that's quite alright. Like that you really can choose the loops of the different presets.

Re: 2 free AAS packs from Focusrite 2018/11/11 19:59:03 (permalink)
Here are the instructions how to include the MIDI of a pack to "Strum Session":

1. Open a command prompt WITH administrator privileges
2. Go to path "C:\Program Files (x86)\Applied Acoustics Systems\Strum Session 2\MIDI Library" (use the correct drive letter for your system if it is not C)
3. Create junctions to the MIDI contents like:
mklink /J "Good Folks" "\Program Files (x86)\Applied Acoustics Systems\Strum GS-2\MIDI Library\Good Folks"
mklink /J "Pop Rocks" "\Program Files (x86)\Applied Acoustics Systems\Strum GS-2\MIDI Library\Pop Rocks"

Now the MIDI loops of the packages are available in "Strum Session" under "Loops > Bank".
