The Band19 Wow, this was not what I expected "at all..." The synths were really cool. The voicing, and the patches. Guitar and bass were nice as well. So, surprised you in a good way? Glad you liked it Robby, thanks.

foxwolfen I was about to turn it off when it picked up. I think the intro was a tad long. I would prefer a much more powerful feel from the drums in the first half, and the first guitar was also a bit quiet (I expected it to grow and was disappointed that it did not). Something odd is happening with the drums at 2:15... I listened to it three time to be sure, but it sounds like a bit of a stumble. The second half was very interesting, and you used a wonderful sounding set of synths. ''I was about to turn it off when it picked up'' I guess there's a fine line between building tension and mood, and boring someone rigid eh? Glad you hung on though Shad, thanks. I hear that drum stumble too, will see what I can do about that.

rsp@odyssey.net Really like that tremolo guitar during the intro. Bass guitar tone is nice and meaty. To me, the snare could use just a titch of reverb or maybe 20 to 30ms of delay and a slight bump of 1k eq. Lead guitar has a nice "Tull" tone that fits just right. This is good stuff James. I'm a buyer when the disc is done. Randy Well thanks Randy. Ed got me to add some more 'crack' to the snare, maybe I didn't go far enough. There is a little reverb on it, but the delay idea is a good one, I'll give that a try. 'Tull tone' is a nice compliment, Martin Barre is possibly my favourite player.

blipp Great stuff chaps. Nice choices of sounds and great arrangement. Guitar playing is pretty tasty too. Many thanks John. At one point I scrapped the entire second half of the arrangement and started again, glad it worked for you.

paulo Awesome. Love the textures. Where's Larry btw ? Not seen him around these parts for a long time. That's nice of you Paulo, thanks a lot. Larry's using Studio One these days so doesn't hang around with us Cakewalkers...I think he lurks occasionally though His health hasn't been too good this last year or so, and SMB is on hold for the foreseeable future. He and his wife came over to stay last October though, we had a great time, and did get to play guitar together a little.

Pretty fine incremental eclectics (if that makes sense), gentle yet duly creepy. Song-structure ... with the middle guitar pomp seemed pretty fine. 'Loved your last offering (the one with the gothic vocals) a bit more.

That was simply beautiful. Very majestic sounding and the mix is pristine. Beautiful chord progression as you kick in the heavier guitar. You guys did a bang up job on this one! Nice work. I'm going back for another listen.

Nice piece all round this gentlemen. I was listening to Blipp's new piece with Jules on vox and had this lined up to play next clicked the play button a bit prematurely just before Blipp's track finished. Got it spot on though the track flowed together wonderfully. Thanks for sharing cool musicianship from you all.

Hey James, This is the third time I’ve come back to listen to this. It’s not what I usually load up – as you’ve already heard – the mix is terrific, it’s moody and has a quirky little set of melodies running through it (all well played). I used to have a video call The Mind’s Eye – your music reminds me of that – odd landscapes, images – all computer generated. Although it feels “cold” to me (as in emotionally) it is still a fun listen. Nice job!
