...But why should I adapt?

Because one item per thread allows other users to vote on that one item.   Including multiple requests in a single forum thread can make it impossible for others to vote if both they agree and disagree with the items you are requesting.   And less votes overall can mean less priority for Cakewalk.

But you were also referring to templates so I'm not sure if the text you quoted (about creating one thread per request) is actually related?   Or if it's simply a language thing.

I know how they work templates. But why should I adapt? Sonar should work well without the use of templates. With this approach, Sonar will never be improved! For other useful answers thank you.

? What have you got against using templates
That allows you to do what you need right?

If you are stating there are bugs then you are in the wrong forum, you should create a new thread for each issue...If you seriously want Sonar to be improved you should have seperare thread for each of these items or vote on existing threads.

I have nothing against using templates. You have not understood the main idea.
Sorry, I'm not here to discuss threads. It became. People have already written comments.
Please discuss about the subject of this thread (like others here) - your progress is now 0%!

You did not understand...
This was the answer to the templates.

somo, why do you come here as a new user and insist that things should be done your way. There are established rules for the forums and we all try and obey them. You do not seem to care about rules, and feel things should be done your way.

Your progress is now 0%!

... as is what happens when you discuss too many things at once. I suggest calling this thread a day and do things one thread at a time. I say again... suggest.

Yes, please. One FR per thread in this forum; otherwise it's very difficult to vote. Lists of FRs in a single thread seem to do okay in the SONAR forum, though. (I'd still prefer they were broken out, but maybe that's just me...).

It's not only about voting. Having several separate discussions within a single thread makes it difficult to take part. The longer the thread becomes, the more confusing it gets.

It may be time to wrap this post up and move the remaining unresolved items into separate posts as suggested.

The reason I liked this post initially was that it summarised the views of someone new to Sonar who had experience with other DAWs.  A fresh pair of eyes often sees things in a different way and Somo's directness helped cut to the heart of the specific matters (I am an advocate of what Robert Sutton calls "strong opinions loosely held" as an effective way to identify and solve problems).  I also learned quite a bit from the earlier posts from experienced users who responded with specifics.

Cheers,
R
