A gift to my Sonar family for Battery 3

If you want a fully realized commercial dance, hiphop, pop, and R&B drum kit for battery 3 that has all the sounds and behavior that you hear on the radio I've put one together. This kit is spread across 83 keys (all my brothers with the Keystation 88 enjoy), and is dynamic and playable. Remember Those long 808 kicks you hear on every T-Pain song? Well they're in this kit mapped to 12 keys, one key for every note (hold the keys down for the length YOU want!!). There are other kicks in this kit but only the Right ones for commercial dance, hiphop, pop, and R&B and that goes for EVERY DRUM sound in this kit. Best of all it's FREE!!! I made it cause I got tired of trying to edit each kit based on the song, so I made a "go to" kit... so why not share it? Many sounds are spread between 2 to 4 keys for added rythmic and sonic expression so play around with the keys and ENJOY MY FRIENDS!!
This the link below for the zip file:
http://www.adrive.com/public/a09f9eebd4927f9d1ff59c0e327be1e0363ee98e2e8166b638bd001812cc1aac.html

Download the zip and extract the file folder. There will be a folder with the Tuned 808 file and Tuned 808 Samples folder inside. Drag them both to the Battery 3 Library into the Production Kits folder. HAVE FUN!!!!

By the way I used this kit in my song "Perfect Love Affair" if you want to here it in use.

This is an extremely generous thing you're doing, and I greatly appreciate it. I look forward to checking this out, as I have Battery3 but tend not to use it as often as I do DR008 (which has 96 pads and is easily changed/edited).

I do - like you - tend to make a "go to" set with lots of the sounds I might want, just to save time. So this gift of yours if right up my alley :)

    THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

PS - fellow NY'er, you're stuff sounds good.

I have some Batt3 stuff I've put together, but some is multi-out setups. Using 8 stereo outs with 2 AUX. Would you be interested (or anyone be?)

twisted6s, thanks so much for this. First off, the samples sound GREAT! You did a terrific job. For those that don't have Battery, the samples open up perfectly in Kontakt.

Thanks in advance. Haven't downloaded yet but looking forward to it. Just decided to spend this "semester" (i.e. self-study over the next 3 months) learning Battery 3. It is so intense. So this couldn't have come at a better time.

Did you create a drum map for it? Remember, in order to use the step sequencer with this kit, a drum map needs to be created (or you could use the GM full kit but I don't know if that covers all 88 keys, and it wouldn't have the drum names you chose).

I would be willing to create one, but I don't know where I could send it so that everyone could access it.

Another thing, speaking of Battery 3 kits: As comprehensive as the Battery 3 package is - tutorials, videos, demos, cell library, etc., what's missing are "menu" kits - i.e. kick menu, snare menu, etc.... I'm in the process of making one while learning Battery 3. First one will be - "Bass Drums - Acoustic Processed". There are 72 kicks in that category in the cell library. Fits perfectly with the octave template kit they include.

    Thanks again!

To all, you are very welcome and to Nick P If you make a drum map for this kit the step sequencer guys would love that. I uploaded my file to a site calledd ADrive.com (another cool thing a learned on this forum) they give you 50 gigs of online storage for free and you can share that file with anyone just by providing the download link. I have never used the step sequencer so I have never made a drum map but I'm sure it would be appreciated. By the way the menu kits would be a great idea
