I've had the same experience with other plugins, and wasn't sure if the installation was 32- or 64-bit until it was done and I went to check where the files ended up.
Usually, if it's under c:\program files\cakewalk\vstplugins, it's 64-bit. If it's under c:\program files (x86)\cakewalk\vstplugins, it's 32-bit. (Although for some reason I have Zebra64 living in the x86 tree, so it's obviously not a hard-and-fast rule. It was probably my mistake when I installed it.)
Some installers will install both versions, but you can just delete the 32-bit version if you don't plan on using it.
All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.
