I gave up trying to work it out and edited the XML files. Which was a bit of a drag, but it's all set up nicely now, so that's that dealt with. Some way of un-assigning should be added though, I think. Could be part of learn mode - a little global widget to click that means "clear the next control I touch".

Yeah, it was really annoying me too. Not a show-stopper, but a constant niggle. So I got all Sherlock Holmes on its ass.
