Mine has no toms and it says I purchased it. On top of that, I can't use individual outs. It won't play with them. Everything is routed correctly but no sound. There is something coming through, though inaudible, but the meters show something. I guess I'll have to wait for tech. grrrrrr

The demo only has Bass Drum, Snare, Hi-Hat, and one cymbal...

So are you using the DEMO?  Because that's all you get with the Demo..
Once you purchased the KIt, you get all of the pieces...and the MIDI....

Well, from what I can see, the discounters are NOT offering the upgrade...
Only the upgraded Adpaks...

So that may mean that the Upgrade itself would be exclusively at XLN....

Have the quality of the samples been improved for AD2?
That's the only thing that's lacking for me in AD1.

Only Fairfax is new kit with new samples,
but other kits are old samples (from AD1 and adpaks)

They may have used the the SAME ORIGINAL recordings, but these are NOT old samples....these are completely "redone"...just so you know...

So, how do you know these are NOT old samples?
Maybe these are updated presets with AD2 engine and
sounds little bit better then ?!

Re: AD 2 Premiere Video and AD2 AVAILABLE NOW! 2014/05/13 07:42:15 (permalink)
For those who are upgraded to AD2!!!

One question:
If I have 4 adpaks and get upgrade,
do I still see all adpaks in gallery page or
only my updated adpaks?
Is still like big commercial like demo version???

AD 1 continues to function and is now called "legacy".
AD 2 will only play AD2 Adpaks....so you will not see AD 1 Adpaks in AD 2 Gallery...

I just installed the (free) upgrade last night. I was under the impression that the complete Fairfax kit was included in this upgrade, but I only had a choice of installing the Demo....which I did.

To get the toms and whatever else is NOT in the demo, do I need to purchse the ADpak?

Yes Mesh...

Only the Demo pieces of the Fairfax are in the demo kit...
You have to purchase the full kit to get the rest...

Well, the good news is that they gave me a coupon code so I could get the entire Fairfax for $20. The bad news is this install is proving to be a nightmare.

I'm pretty sure the problem is that all the sound files are on my C drive. Now I know why my C drive is so full. Apparently there are 94gb of them for AD and AD2. I used to have AD on my D drive. I went into the installer and it said I could move something but the sound files are still on the C drive. Grrrrrrr

This is probably why I'm having that noise and crashes.

I was going to ask about this too as I had a similar prob........

When I set up AD1 (in March 04), I put my VST's on my C: drive and samples on the D: drive......however, I see that the installer has sample on the C: drive and when trying to move them via the installer, I got some error message. WIll take a closer look tonight.....

I had to try a few times to get it to move but in the end, it moved. The only problem is now the installer is putting them on the desired drive but I think the original files are still on the C drive. Does anyone know the original path? I forgot to make a note of it.

Well, I got rid of the clicking sound, like a guitar plugging into a live amp, and now I have this static. I can't use individual outs either. No sound through them at all. My nightmare goes on. After I moved everything, the AD installer said I had 22 things to repair. Every time I clicked to repair them, it took forever and still did not repair them. I tried repairing them one by one and that worked. I had the static before all of that which did not start until I set the individual outs. grrrrrrrrrrr. I wish their forum was still there.

A video of my issue if anyone is interested. Don't mind the mouse movements. I lose the pointer easily and have to figure out where it is. Usually by dragging it to a corner.

Well, my first impression of AD2 is kind of also ran. I have the full version and the new Fairfax kit is nice but no real WOW factor yet.

New UI is nice and more slots are cool. But EZD2 has it beat (pun intended) for composition IMO.

I now have AD2! I have my user midi in place and my EZ drummer map saved. I was surprised by everything that came with it. I just got the Funk adpak so the midi packs were a nice little bonus. The new presets are fantastic, love the Fairfax. The new (Addictive keys type window) is a great thing to have. You can take just about any preset and get it sounding good with that alone. Now with EZD2 and AD2 my drums have taken a major leap forward. Time to start a new album!
