Looks like someone beat you to it http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/3654843 But more to the point Amplesound has gone and beaten Greg at getting a 12 string library on the market. I may hod out a while and see if OTS releases theirs any time soon. (complete the bundle pricing and lots of Orange Slices will make it very competitive on price.)

That's where I got the info from...but should have been posted here, not software...Intro price technically makes it a Deal...

I should have checked KVR earlier - looks like the OTS 12 string still could be some way off http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/3655789 This increases the temptation to get this one from Amplesound. Incidentally I just looked and the website list the price a $169 but it looks as if I can get for $114 as I have other products. If I don't log in I see the $127 price.

I have to say that I REALLY like AmpleSound Products!
They are very extensive, and, while I made the comment in another thread about wishing I could drag and drop the MIDI into a track, I finally realized it was my own ignorance of the method. It's quite easy...I was just oblivious as to how! My bad...
Once a pattern is loaded that you want to use from the Riffer, or one you've created, there is a plus sign at the bottom. Click on that and simply drag it into your track...doesn't get much easier than that other then just being able to drag the pattern directly from the list, which is what I was used to with others, and why I didn't realize that the + sign was for...DOH

Yeah, they all are pretty awesome....the Yin Yang seemed to be the most versatile. The 12 string is definitely going to be on my short list. Which one do you have from AS?

I have them all. They're my "Go To's"... Modo's on my list...but that's down the road. I've dwindled down to "necessities", and am still trying to get rid of "non-essentials" on KVR...if anyone is interested https://www.kvraudio.com/....php?f=43&t=444861

All?? wow.......very nice!! I'm starting to save up for a "real bass".....much easier for me to play it than program it. Best of luck with the sale.

I bought this today, and yes its very nice! I had been a little disappointed with Riffer on the bass guitars. It was fine playing back the canned riffs but I could not make it sound all that convincing programing my own riffs. This one is different, in 15 minutes playing around I was able to create some acceptable patterns, once I dig deeper I think it will be very good tool for creating strums and arps. I think the reason for this is I don't "think like a bass player" and my string selection etc. is not quite right, but its easier for me to think how a guitarist would strum or play arpeggios. I think it will be good to have this in my arsenal, the differences between Riffer and OTS's strum engine will add variety to the parts. I am not sure how successfully exported MIDI will drive other guitar VSTis because of the articulation selection, time will tell.

In my expirience riffer in Amplesound guitar products is excellent tool. Input method is little slow but once when job is finished it`s perfectly clear to see what is happening. I got feeling that it is made for guitarists who wants to write songs ni DAW, unlike concurent products that are oriented toward keyboardists.

This is what I'm hoping for.....I went through the program (Yin Yang) and played around with the riffer presets. A lot of very good ones as well as some that just were meh, but this thing has a lot of potential for me to roll my own (once I dig deeper). Will definitely check out some tutorials (if there a re any available).
