Understandably the absolute easiest way to purchase or demo new Gear Models in the Custom Shop is with an active internet connection. It is possible to activate purchased gear models and if you are having problems contact our support for 1 on 1 help.

1. Not only is a computer with internet connection the easiest way to demo New Gear in the Custom Shop, it is the ONLY way.
 2. You betcha it's possible to activate purchased gear models on offline computers but it's extremely convoluted and cumbersome as I am now stating for the second time.

Your suggestion to "contact our support for 1 on 1 help" is the common answer both here and the IK forum. Can I get them to come over and run back and forth between my studio and my house to authorize for me? The answer is quite obviously no.
If you're so worried about pirating how about a authorization scheme whereby we buy the product then are NEVER able to authorize it? That ought to protect it pretty darn good!

I use iLok and would welcome the option to downlaod my licenses to my iLoks. How about that option Obi?

No, IK dumped the iLok system years before I ever was at IK for various reasons. In your situation the best bet is to connect the computer to the internet if you want it to be easier. You'll be able to demo instantly, be able to keep up with our latest sales, freebies and promos in the Custom Shop too. Like I said though our support is here to help.

Thanks for the suggestion but my studio computer is approximately 10 miles from my internet access.
