And while I'm at it - "Medal" is not a verb.

 
Nor is the even more hideous "Podium"
 
 
Stop it. It's not big and it's definitely not clever.
 
 
It's just lazy.
 
 
How much harder can it be to simply state, for example, "I hope to win a medal", instead of "I hope to medal"
 
 
Or, much worse, "Team GB are expecting to podium in this event"
