Works well here. Mainly Guitar Rig usage here... but I do use Reflektor and Kontakt on occasion.

Working fine here. Windows 8 x64, Sonar X2. There are enough sounds in Komplete 8 to make your head explode.
I had an issue with the multiple out Kontakt 5 player crashing Sonar but when I switched from my EMU 1820m to my Focusrite Pro40,that issue went away.
I have no idea why sound card drivers would effect a VSTi inside of Sonar, but the change has done the trick.

Plenty of Kontakt, Reaktor, Massive, Battery ...

Everything works without a glitch here...

It's a good investment, I would not say the same about their hardware though.

    Cheers !

I've been using Maschine with Sonar (8-X2) without problems for years - had a Kore2 for a while and it worked perfectly as well.

Another +1 to X2 + Komplete - no problems here.

With Komplete you get great sounds and more room to create than you will likely use. I've had it over a year and have only scratched the surface.

I have been with Komplete since version 3 - and am now on 8 Ultimate.

Kontakt is fabulous, so is Battery 3, Reaktor, Guitar Rig, FM8 - TONS of synths and sounds.

Worked well for me, even on my old Vista PC where neither X2 or Komplete was supported.

As if Komplete was not enough there is a huge amount of third party content, some free or only costing a few bucks you can use once you have the full version of Kontack.

Thanks guys, it looks like the type of program/plug-in where you could spend months with it and not even scratch the surface. I will be looking into this further.

I have Komplete 8 Ultimate and it's amazing. It's worth having for Reaktor alone - that amazing instrument could keep a person occupied for the rest of their life. The effect chains you can set up with Guitar Rig are incredible. However, I will say this. Sonar seems to have some issue with Guitar Rig hosted effects in which it will occasionally zero out all the controls upon loading the project. I've had to reconfigure huge effects chains a few times because of this, of course I should really be saving them as new presets! But it does happen, and since I used exactly the same plugs in Pro Tools without issue I'm going to presume it's a NI/Sonar clash. I've never managed to get to the bottom of it and nobody was helpful on NI's forums.

But despite this, I still think it's one of the best VST collections anywhere and definitely the best value for money.

Don't forget the Reaktor user library. There are some beautifully weird and wacky instruments to download for free, as well as some very usable effects. Not to mention you can make your own instruments (and Groove3 has a Reaktor course so hopefully I'm going to learn the basics very soon).

I'll second the comments here. Sonar + Komplete = Go make music.

When you consider what you get, it's even very cost-effective.

NI has free things like the Kontakt player, which you could download and take for a drive.  There aren't many sounds, compared to what you would get with Ultimate, but the quality is great, and you would develop your own sense of its place in your matrix of tools and gear.

NI Komplete 8, no brainer.  Guitar Rig 5 and Kontact 5 full plus so much more are worth the price alone.

Works in X1 and X2 no problems.  Komplete plugins x64 no problems.

My only regret is not buying Komplete 8 Ultimate when I had the money or waited a bit to find a bit more money.  I want the Ultimate Strings, Mutation libraries, mixing plugins, and basses now and well....I'll have to wait for a while for an upgrade deal.

Totally worth either Komplete 8 or Ultimate.  I couldn't do much without my NI products.

I upgraded to Ultimate when they had an offer on last summer. It was too much to resist. FWIW though, there is no "Ultimate Strings" (you get Session Strings) and I've never yet found a use for the Mutation libraries (although God knows I've tried). The extra plugs you get are well worth it, as well as synths like Razor and the stunning Prism. And yes the basses are great, but if you ever consider upgrading to Ultimate just for the basses, I think you'd be better off getting Trilian instead.

i'm a math geek so k8 is worth it for reaktor alone.  between that and pure data there is practically nothing you can't do.

Aaah; you guys are tempting me to spend even more money. : ) This program sounds really good. Trouble is that I already have a gazillion synth patches that sound geat; so- it isn't "lack of sounds" that's keeping me from writing the next great album. But... these programs sound tempting.
