Anybody successfully using VS-700 in combination with Octa-Capture?

Is there anybody out there who currently has a working set-up with VS-700 and Octa-Capture acting as one interface via VS Expand?

I do have a lot of troubles getting it to work with latest drivers (2.0.1) despite it working nicely previously when paired with the VS-100.  I just cannot get decent audio output (without pops and cracks) at any bearable latency ... I need huge audio buffers (512 - 1024) which are no option when tracking instruments ...

I know there are several threads out there but they stop dead before it gets clear whether this a problem of VS-700, the drivers or a possibly under-spec'd PC ...

Any suggestions that stop me wasting time are welcome!

I don't have the octa capture, but have you checked that the firmware of both interface are the latest one?

Yes, I am on the latest firmware as stated on page 2 of the manual ...

You can use the OCTA-CAPTURE Version 1.5 together with the VS-100 or VS-700 to expand the I/O. In order to expand the I/O, you must update the
    drivers and system software.
    VS-700:
System program version 1.30 or later
    Windows driver Ver.2.0.1

Yeah, doesn't work for me either. Drop outs or huge latency when using the expand. Sent and email to Roland a couple of times but they never responded.

uhhh, unfortunately that's just what I expected ... something broken and no response from Roland if it ever gets fixed ...

Looks like I can stop wasting time and put the Octa-Capture back into the mobile rig ...

    Surprise, surprise!

The latest OctaCapture driver update seems to have addressed this problem. It's just a shame that there are no release news with drivers telling you what to expect (v.1.5.1 was released as win 8 driver).

Anyway, I just installed v.1.5.1 (http://www.roland.com/support/article/?q=downloads&p=UA-1010&id=62226714) and now it works with VS-700 (v.2.0.1) at the same ASIO buffer settings (128 samples). Previously I could not go below 512 when VS EXPAND was active! Yeah, baby, that rocks!

    Cheers!
