Andrew Rossa [Cakewalk] It's an easter egg that was put in to the module as already mentioned. Does nothing to the sound :)
It may do nothing to the sound, but in a deep cave in central Shingdap, a Dragon has his tail twisted each time. This is an undocumented contributor to global warming. Everyone knows that twisting a dragon's tail brings fire.

StudioCat > I use Windows 10 and Sonar Platinum. I have a touch screen. I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

scook I thought the CA2A documentation was adequate
I thought it adequate, too, but did not have it to hand when I posted, unlike the UA manual, which I did. Several people in this thread seemed unsure of it's purpose, hence my posts. scook Still does not explain "What Turning the PC-76 Meter Screw Does"
No, but it does answer the questions/clear up the misunderstandings from people in this thread about what the R37 screw in the Ca2a does. As to the OP - I couldn't really add anything. I knew the screw moved, but just assumed it was an easter egg like the PC4K Bus Compressor, or the rather marvelous screws in the new reissue of iZotope's Vinyl. edited to clean up quoting

Yes, but only detectable by a world wide null test.

The next time someone starts an argument about whether Sonar or ProTools is better, mention this feature. That should end the discussion.

This is so true. If it doesn't, the last, most stubborn ProTools proponents will have to surrender when they find out about "backlight" feature.

It starts a transparent-on-transparent scroll of the script for a parody of Taming of the Shrew called Turning of the Screw, courtesy of the Baking Bards of Beantown.

Good one, Felix. Now we know why the PC76 makes noise even when it receives no input.

Love the picture. Don't want to be picky, but I am not sure the 1176 had any valves, it was solid state.

Or does it make that miniscule amount of noise because it is a faithful model of the 1176? Actually, it is quieter than the real thing.

dlesaux It's an Easter egg, it turns the backlight on the PC4K buss compressor as Scook already pointed out, that's it.. To the best of my knowledge, it does nothing on the PC76.
That was my understanding as well. Seems like it first appeared for the PC4K in X2? I would say, though, it would be cool to have the backlight come on automatically when the time on your computer shows 6PM to 7AM.

I'm holding some hope for this one from the Rolling Updates list: UI ThemesIt’s your studio, it’s time you get to decide how it looks. You can keep using the standard SONAR skin, or download newly designed skins directly from Cakewalk. Plus, we’ll provide tools so you can easily design and use your very own custom-made UI skins.
