I've had problems with Rapture for some time.  I have the latest upgrades, but my problems began since day one.  Usually, after recording a track with Rapture, it will freeze in the middle of playback, and I have to close X1 and restart it to get Rapture to play.  At that point, if the track is complete and edited to my liking, I freeze the track, bounce to clips, delete the Rapture track, and use the newly made audio track.  It's time consuming, and should not be necessary.  After the last crash, X1 generated a dump file which I sent to CW, and the problem is being investigated.  I should point out that I'm in 64 bit mode on W7.  None of my other synths have this problem, including Dimension Pro.  I hope CW can get to the bottom of this because I do like Rapture, but I would not recommend it in its present state.

All the best,
Lynn

So I went tos check to see what version I downloaded installed but can't find any indication in the app (no "about" or anything)

Just click on the "Rapture" logo in the plug-in interface, the "about" window should pop up with version number.

Oh cool thanks.
Mine shows 1.2 so I guess I'll try 1.2.2...thanks again!

Sadly 1.2.2 made no difference...I reckon I definitely should call support tomorrow.
Thanks guys,
Randy

I had a good play about with the film score patches last night -no problems here.

I've never really had any great problems with Rapture at all.

In fact, I was a bit concerned when I first upgraded to the full version, because of this particular bullet point under the "Compatibility Notes".

Compatibility Note:
>> When installing Rapture on a 64-bit Windows system only the 64-bit or 32-bit version can be installed at one time, if multiple installations occur only the most recently installed version will appear in your host.

Now, I run 64bit for almost everything - but I still have a MIDI plug that only works in 32bit, so this note concerned me a bit.

Funny thing is - I did the installs my own funny way, have had BOTH 32+64 bit versions installed since day 1, both show up and work beautifully for me.

My original install was before the 1.22 version, which I had updated to some time ago.

Both the 32 + 64 bit standalone microhosts work fine, same for the VST plugs - don't know why you're only supposed to be able to install either one or the other, but both are installed here, and were no problem to update either.

Sorry, I know it's not much help for your issue here, other than to know that it can and does work for some of us.

I'll see if there are any notes I can dig out over the weekend, from when I did the original install which might help.

Cheers - Cliff

BTW, Ol Skool it's a weird pet peeve of mine to want to correct people when they post the word y'all because they usually spell it ya'll...you sir, surely are gentleman and a scholar : )

And remember the plural of y'all is- all y'all.

I haven't been experiencing issues with Rapture. It's been working fine for me. The one issue that I wanted to post / point out is that when I open it or instantiate it, the window size is bigger than the Rapture image. To make it look better I either have to trim down the Rapture instrument window, or push it into the Dock so it looks more natural. It does seem like it needs a tuning so that it would open its window to the size that fits the image of what's displayed in Rapture.

Two internal 2TB SSDs laptop stuffed with Larry's deals and awesome tools. Studio One is the cat's meow as a DAW now that I've migrated off of Sonar. Using BandLab Cakewalk just to grab old files when migrating songs.
