Anyone using the WAVES Eddie Kramer Signature Collection??
And if so did the individual plugins come with factory presets? And if so could you tell me where they are located and/or send them to me? Because they aren't showing up for me. My other Signature Collections (Maserati, CLA, JJP) do have them and they show up fine...but not on my new Kramer Collection. Any info will be appreciated:-)

That's odd. :s I was thinking of demoing them - if I do so I'll let you guys know. I've tried CLA's guitar channel but it doesn't seem to be for me. I guess I'm just to obsessed w/ guitar sounds to actually let go so easily.

FYI and on a related note, the compressor, channel strip and tape machine in Kramer’s Tubes, Tape and Transistors did NOT come with presets.

Now that there's no more iLoK, Kramer Sig is looking a lot more appealing. Just wondering is it x64 yet? And BTW, what is "native?" Thanks.

Native means it will run on a PC as in (usually) VST. And yes, all of waves line is now 64bit. If you have any older series plugins and have not kept up your WUP (waves update plan) you'll have to do that before updating to Version 9 and 64bit. But if you don't have any WAVES stuff now is the time to get your feet wet as they are having some very good discounts on stuff. Sign up at www.wavesuniverse.com and take a look at their prices...you'll be glad you did.

Thanks ol'pal. Nope, don't yet have any Waves, the iLok and lack of x64 was unattractive. Now they're looking quite pertty. Is the $199 price for Kramer Signature the special price or the going rate? Thanks again.

I watched the sales very closely and when it was just a shade over $2300 that's when I pounced on the package. BTW that price included a year of WUP so natch I gots me the 64bit Mercury package for free.

Ok ... so Waves installed the following: Waves Shell - VST 9.0_x64.dll in a subfolder under "Program Files" it also installed: Waves Shell - VST 9.0.dll in the VSTPlugins subfolder of the Cakewalk folder under "Program Files (x86)" Both of these files were also installed in a Waves folder under "Program Files (x86). The relevant .dll files for the plug-ins were also installed in the Waves folder under "Program Files (x86) It has me wondering ... are the Tubes, Tape and Transistor plugs 32 or 64 bit?

The shells dictate 32 and 64 (hence _64 in the name of one). We must remember a 64bit dll can be installed *anywhere*. That means that the Program Files (x86) folder is not limited to 32bit files, it's used by most vendors who provide the option to user to dictate how their system is setup. Sadly there is no true standard for install that all VST vendor adhere to.

Ol Pal, the Kramer plugs are loaded with tons of presets. Remember, they are in the black bar load button, not the grey bar one.

Naw...just got off the phone with one a them nice waves fellers. I asked him about the Kramer thing and he says "naw sir, there never were no presets in the Kramer Sig...so there". Plus I asked him how come AudioTrack didn't get ported up to V9. He says it was a glitch and they've had some problems with this V9 release but everything should be fixed by next week. So... You might check all of your leventy jillion plugs Bapsi, and see what all of em ain't workin.

It's fine, especially on modern pop stuff as if JJPs. For modern rock, alt rock and such you can't beat the Chris Lord-Alge plugs. I'm just now seeing that Kramer is great for some old school sounds and, unlike some others have posted above, found it...so far...to make things stick out of a mix just enough:-)

Hello, anyone care to share anymore impressions of how they like this E.K. collection? Is it as effective and efficient for achieving those vintage/classic rock tones as it seems it would be? Also, how is the vocal verb? Thanks.

Thanks. I've had my eye on this for about 2 years, but the higher price back then and the iLok were a deterant. I do a lot of classic rock cover stuff, so this seems like it would be a great time saver and especially with the W.U. discount, it's looking pretty good right now. How's the reverb on the vocal module? I still don't have a vocal verb that i really like as a go-to.
