I play music so I don't go insane thinking about how I screwed up the first 40 years of my life in an irreversible manner. God I hope there isn't a second 40 years.  I'm good to go right now to be honest with you. Well, this song sums it up for me. Music fills a dark deep void inside me, yet it still feels like something else should be in there, but I just don't know what. There was a time when it consumed and engulfed my entire life playing out in bands, recording with friends, going out to see bands when we weren't playing. It's an addiction really. I've noticed though, as I'm getting older I'm getting more and more numb every day and don't need music as much as I used to. Sometimes it feels like I'm just fading out and nothing really matters anymore. Man that's dark. Ah what the hell, I'll post it anyway. Probably regret it in a few minutes.

Wish I could. The closest I'll ever come to that is the Harley I just hauled for my father in law. I tell you, he could be sitting on his couch fast asleep and a good deal will fall in his lap and wake him up. He bought a 2006 Harley Davidson Police motorcycle. 4,000 miles! Looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor. Here it is, I just picked it up last Friday and hauled down to his house for him. The bike is actually white, but the picture shows it as tan. I think they did some auto-fix on the picture and didn't notice it changed the color. He paid 10,500 for it. Can you believe that? That's a $25,000 bike. It has a special order air ride seat, fully loaded. Not a ding on it.

Music is a sideline for me.
I find it's more effective if I do lots of lottery tickets and stand naked in the window for hours to get rich and famous.

Edited.... I started learning guitar at a very young age because I loved the guitar. There was a very short time that a band I was in wanted to record originals but we also knew that the odds of it making money was "crazy" and the cost would probably never be recovered so the recording process for the band was just a "tool" to hopefully help us learn more. With that I can say that fame and fortune was never really part of my guitar life. Not a desire nor an offering. Although guitar has always been a big part of my life I never let it stop me from many other interests.

personally, i want to sell out...if somebody offers me $50,000 for rights to song, its theirs. thats probably an over the top figure, but they will make millions on it right?
Now, i do this for fun, education and most of my mixes will never pass my ears, but some do...actually you guys have heard my tunes more than anyone in my community
