Attention Ron Kuper: how long should I cook my eggs for?

I've been cooking my eggs in the morning for 3mins but their consistency is not quite right. Can you please fix this problem or give me a workaround.

I'm not sure about eggs, but grits take 20 minutes unless you have magic grits, or unless water soaks into a grit faster in your kitchen than in the rest of the grit-eating world, or if the laws of physics don't apply. (all this according to Vinnie)

I ain't upgrading my stinking eggs until Mr. Kuper stops those trolls in the Coffee House! After all I demand respect because of my unending rhetoric of RTFM to the underlings with less posts than me. They don't seem to understand how "impotent" I am.........

This is a typical dum newbie question, if you don't mind me saying so. More information please if you want us to help you:

Which make and model of cooker?
    Gas, Electricity or Other?
Which size pan? Steel or Aluminum or Other?
    How much water?
    How many Eggs?
Which heat setting are you using?

Please answer all these questions. Then, if I still can't help you, to hide the fact that I'm stupid and don't know the answer, I'll think of half a dozen more to ask you.

i'm right there with you Scar. I never had this problem when i was using other eggs .. they were rock
solid. if ron doesn't come up with a solution, i'm going to demand my carton back. in fact, it's not
good enough for him to post a reply .. no .. he's got to fly out here to San Francisco and deliver me
new eggs personally and apologize to me in Flemmish and provide me with a suitable form of
adult entertainment. i heard that's what he did for somebody in europe (whether he used a corporate
credit card is none of my business).

can you hear me ron? this is really serious ... i'm holding my breath now .. i'm seeing spots
    already....

uh, you ARE in colorado so it takes longer up there. In most of the south it only takes 15. This also depends on whether you use albers or quaker

The eggs I cooked on the die of a 64-bit processor running Sonar tasted 20-40% better than those cooked on the same processor running audio software that used a different (fry)panning law.

Real pros don't cook eggs, they fry'em. But first you need to know about "over easy" and "sunny side up" - these are pro terms we use in the business. No need to complain to Ron, do your homework first!

You should buy the book "Inside Eggs" by our esteemed forum member Eggo. Well worth the $87.95, you will thoroughly understand how pros make the most of eggs and even how to prepare them in a microwave and on your barbecue grill!

Yeah, increase over easy knob as far as you can and reduce the threashold while increasing the output. Finally you may identify that your eggs have been cooked!

Cooking your eggs can affect your procreative capacity seriously - so does a compressor btw. For surgically editing your eggs you may want to try Eggacity, it's free.

If you still have problems, try 5 minutes but make sure to not go beyond 7:10 as your eggvelopes may stop working then. HTH

I think had them once when I stayed at the Peabody Hotel in Memphis (the place where the ducks walk the red carpet from the lift, sorry US friends, elevator, to the fountain and back every day). We here in the UK know grits as that frog spawn stuff we used to have with school dinners - tapioca. I was having a 'full English' fry-up and the waiter wanted to also give me - with the fry-up - pancakes and syrup and some grits. God, what are you Americans like?

I'm sick of all these hacks using cracked eggs.

We need a scrambled code to stop these poachers, using these foul tactics. What plans can we hatch, OM Let us think about it .

We have been unable to duplicate this problem in our test environment. Please contact tech support and arrange to send us a sample of the eggs. You should also include the bacon, toast and coffee you are using, so we can be sure we are repeating your exact conditions.

In the meantime, make sure you have upgraded your stove, frypan, and spatula to the latest drivers.
