I'm having a very difficult time with this plugin and the manual isn't very helpful. Are there any tutorials for this beast? A quick google search didn't turn up anything. I can't even get the presets to load. I tried both multi and single-core installs.

$10 - I spend that on lunch sometimes. paid - received instructions but not the serial number yet, so I can't follow the instructions until I get the serial number. I assume it's coming soon or you guys wouldn't have it already.

Beagle $10 - I spend that on lunch sometimes. paid - received instructions but not the serial number yet, so I can't follow the instructions until I get the serial number. I assume it's coming soon or you guys wouldn't have it already. I bought a plug-in from them early Thursday afternoon. Order confirmed, billed to my card. Friday morning, no news. Wrote. They said it'd be sent in the am. Received a second e-mail in the afternoon, saying there'd be a promotion next week and asking if I preferred to wait. Replied immediately. No thanks, I need it for something I'm working on now. 5 pm. Wrote again to make sure my previous e-mail was received. Was told that my shipping would be expedited. Wrote back at midnight but I'm expecting nothing since officially, they can only be reached Mon-Fri 9 to 6 PST. So it's Saturday. No news. Most likely won't have my info before Monday. Had I known, I would have bought straight from the manufacturer or from Don't Crack, where I found the same plugin for even less $ and immediate delivery. Not sure I'll ever buy from them again. They'd have to impress me.

Got it this AM. I had the serial # in about an hour or so. Only problem I had was the first digit in the serial was l. I thought it was 1 ( my DAW is offline). After that, I tried some of the presets and they are pretty impressive. Lots to figure out on this plug though. I won't get to test it out thoroughly for a few days. I've got quite a lot of stuff from Audiomidi and have never had to wait longer than about 36-48 hours for a serial # etc. from them. Sundays seem to be the longest wait. Jim

Thanks for the info Jim. Keeping my fingers crossed that something will show up. I really was counting on this to put some finishing touches and wrap up this little project I'm working on before Sunday. Oh well... I'm always thinking how hard can it be to send an e-mail w/ a download link and a s/n? But I've worked in Sales/Customer Service long enough that even the seemingly most trivial things are sometimes not as simple as it seems on the customer's end. That being said, the customer doesn't have to be impacted by that stuff. You don't give a delivery date if you're not sure that you can stick to it and if the unexpected happen, you provide an update asap. Anyway, that is how I kept good relation w/ customers even when the worst happened. My 2 cents...

Yup. Maybe there's something like a miscommunication between them and the manufacturer or whatever which prevents them from sending my stuff. I know all to well about things like that happening. Though it's an inconvenience for me, I can understand those things. It's the somehow misleading updates and the lack of follow up that I'm less forgiving for. Anyway, when this one thing finally gets in, I'm done with buying plug-ins for a while at any rate. I have plenty of new toys to play with to keep me busy. :)

I've ordered a few things from them and only had to wait for an extra bit once. However, I had a problem with something once and emailed them. Never heard back. So..I wouldn't worry about GETTING your item. But if you need after purchase help....well...hopefully your mileage will vary.

Well, at least you have something. ;) I e-mailed them later today after Beagle mentioned he had received all his stuff. I also tried their online pseudo live chat-thing. Nothing. So I left a word on their FB page - nothing incendiary, a simple request to have someone look into my order. I tend to be quite vocal when I dig a developer. I also try to be patient when things don't turn out the way they should. But it seems silly that they won't even at least send back an e-mail or something, short of processing an order placed Thursday.

I'm also sorry to hear about your troubles with them. Why is there always one or two that slip through the cracks? I messed around with it a little more today and to me the presets at least are better than the demo of Fab-Filter's Timeless. But like Timeless, this is a very deep plugin that's gonna take a bit of time and effort to come close to fully understanding and getting the most out of it ( for me anyway). Jim

Ordered it this afternoon, got my serial in half an hour. I suspect they were overwhelmed at the beginning. I usually wait a few days to see what others' experiences are, but they were unspecific about how long the sale would run so I figured for ten bucks it was worth a chance. First impressions: I don't like the UI - too dark. Why does everybody use gray text on a black background? Or black text on a dark blue background? It's the SampleTank school of UI design... Hopefully there are some alternate skins or customization options. And gosh, there are a lot of options and buttons and knobs on this thing! Oodles of presets, with mysteriously semi-helpful names like "Vocal MindCrawlYou". Lots of creepy weird presets, which is great, but I'm really hoping this will do everything the Sonitus Delay does without the bugs...we'll see. Here's a review on rekkerd.org that might help with the introductions.

For anyone else who's pulling their hair out trying to get the presets to load properly, I've figured it out: 1) in the bank field (2nd from top) select a bank 2) in the preset field (top field), select ‘Revert to Original Preset’; this updates the preset menu to the currently selected bank 3) in the preset field, select a preset from the menu The problem is that the preset field does not update properly. When you select a different bank, or use the Quick Browse menu, or the left/right arrows in the preset field, you'll see the UI settings change, but the preset name stays the same. You have to click on ‘Revert to Original Preset’ to get the preset name to update. I opened a support ticket on the Rob Papen website. I can't believe this plugin went out the door in this state. (and yes, the UI colors are terrible!)

I ordered it and used the download link. It downloaded and I cannot open it. It is in the folder where I DL all VSTs and other plugins etc. When I click open I get the windows "file type assistant" box that asks me if I want it to try to find a program to open it or if I want to let Windows handle it. I opened X1 and I cannot find it in my list of VSTs or anywhere in the browser. Do I need to wait for an email with a SN and instructions? The file I DLed is only 48kb. I am doing something wrong, I just don't know what... be there are instructions that I missed. I'll go back and check. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? edit> Oh... nevermind... I got an email. Two in fact. The first one has some instructions. I assume the second has the SN, I have not looked at it yet. OK, I am going to slink away now... Thanks, Julien

I went through the same confusion with the previous audiomidi no-brainer deal. Ignore the link on the order page that says "download here". Wait for the email with the serial number and follow those instructions. The easiest way to check out the presets is to click on the top preset control and go to the "Quick Browse" menu tree.

bitflipper The easiest way to check out the presets is to click on the top preset control and go to the "Quick Browse" menu tree. Bit, when you load presets this way, does the name in the preset field change to show the new selection? I also have to select 'Revert to Original Preset' to get the name to change. I have this bug with the 32-bit and 64-bit plugins with both the single-core and multi-core installs. For anyone else with this problem: Rob responded to my ticket and said his programmers will look into it when they get back from vacation (after Aug. 15).

Finally got feedback from someone at AM after another message this morning - turns out that this is indeed caused by a communication issue between them and the manufacturer. Hoping to have this taken care of tomorrow. Next question is - with that cleared, do I buy the RP delay? :)

How is this plug in actual usage? good enough to be your Go-To/replace the sonitus delay? (I know it's only $10, but I don't like to buy things and just have it occupy space....)

Just received it (RP Delay) this am, still haven't had the time to mess with it. Installed and authorized in a wink. Still waiting for my other plug-in though. I contacted the developer directly, saying that AM were still waiting for my info. My previous e-mail was answered quickly, so I'm crossing fingers that something will happen..

It's really an issue with the developer. My previous experience (the IK 670 No Brainer) had me up and running w/in a few minutes. And the delivery time for the RP delay, ordered late yesterday, was certainly acceptable. I just verified and though my other plug-in hasn't shipped yet, AudioMidi has already made the adjustments and taken $17 off the price so that I benefit from the promotion which starts today, even if I ordered last week and specified I didn't care for the promo. So I end up saving $30 on the MSRP. Kudos to them on that. I should also mention that the second person who wrote back (offering me to wait for the promo) made the effort of sending me the e-mail in French. A pleasant surprise.

I'd be curious to know... Some people here and on other boards mentioned that they usually get their order quite quickly w/ a few exceptions, and that's also my experience exception being made of this one Nomad Factory plug-in I've ordered. I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out that those few times when people had to wait was when the No Brainer was on NF products, seeing how hard it seems to get them to provide my info for a regular sale.
