I guess I'm kinda lost with "true stereo operation" and maybe I'm missing the boat there. I would assume...and I don't know for sure...but if I were to run two of the sample impulse on 2 channels in Prinstine and pan them, that it would be in true stereo, no? That's how I've been doing it. I'll tell you what I do know which may help you to understand where I am at this point.

1. With Perfect Space, which I know is not true stereo....I can do my send pans and it works. So I'm good there.

2. With Pristine with one impulse, it is panning via send as expected....but sometimes can get a bit smeared or phasey on one side.

3. With Pristine running the same impulse twice, no phasing or smearing...send pans work as expected.

4. I know that I could run a few instances of the reverb I want on busses and get things to work panning the busses if need be.

True stereo meaning two independent modules for reverb, 2 impulses using 2 channels in Pristine....would this be correct? If not, I'm totally lost and admit my lack of knowledge. But whether it be mono or stereo/stereo imaging, my impulse loaders all work well with send pan on tracks. It's just reverbs that don't do this at all. I still want to try the UAD stuff just to see how it works because they have dual ins and outs all over the place. LOL!

There is a preset in Pristine Space that easily sets the out put patch to achieve True Stereo interaction.

I use my own custom made impulses and have them set up already... and it has been many years since I have set up the patch from scratch.

If you use that preset that you can quickly see how a True Stereo routing matrix differs from multiple parallel outputs.

Perhaps you are already doing this, but I suspect you may be in parallel mono because of the results you are observing while panning.

Ok update...UAD stuff doesn't pan....Pristine set for true stereo using dual channel does not pan. It appears to work when inserting one stereo impulse to two channels...which is probably stereo imgaing I'd assume.

What I've learned: none of my reverbs can be panned via send pan...not even UAD verbs. Is it due to them being true stereo....and when I use one of my impulse loaders, I'm using stereo imaging and that's why it pans? The impulse is definitely spreading when it's down the middle sounding stereo...so that's a good thing. Anyway, that's where I am with it.

Parallel mono is probably where I am....using the true stereo routing...no pan is possible. So this is how verbs are internally routed which is why they won't pan via send pan...ok...if that's correct, I get it. So unless a verb is parallel mono or stereo imaging, it will NEVER be pan-able through send pan on my channel.
