Ave Maria - UPDATED for Timidi - Mix III
A little something different from me... My sister is visiting from Florida for the week so I got her to record a song with me. She is a sh*t-hot pianist and I have really missed playing with her. She's really loving my new Motif so we had a nice jam session after recording this tune. I hope you enjoy it! Mix III per Timidi's request: Ave Maria - Mix III

I almost can't believe it... This was beautiful, your talent is something to behold young man... Listened ardently all the way through, this gave me goose bumps. This isn't really Ave Maria though is it? (Ahh Vey Maria?) And it sounds like talent runs deep throughout your family.

I'm so glad you finally got to record with her. What a treat...and what Robby said. :) What else did you record while she was there? I want to hear it. :)

Nicely done. Must have been a thrill indeed. Sadly nobody in my family has any artistic leanings (I am adopted) so I have been on my own with this. It must be wonderful to play and record with family.

hey i LOVE hearinbg genres merge like this ...wow! Its like country classical lol. i love it. . I noticed dynamics early in the mix but when im looking at the waveform it looks all the same (??) ..maybe very soft volume differences.. its perfect mix imo which makes it (imo) totally nice to listen to. i liked it

Clean, simple, and well played. I like this very much. It sounds like your new Motif is going to be cranking out tunes for a long time.

Shad, Thanks! It is indeed a treat! My family used to play in concerts together when I was a kid. We recorded an album on LP when I was 13. That was exciting for me as a kid. Thomas, Thanks! I didn't realize it sounded like country. Interesting observation! Herb, Thanks for listening. I think you need to listen to it some more. Lynn, Thanks! Glad you like it! My sister and I both enjoy the Motif very much. She wants one now.

Absolutely gorgeous. Nothing out of place harmonically to my ears, it's a superb arrangement and rendition.

That is really beautiful and beautifully done. I love Ave Maria. I learned to love it in chamber chorus, so many years ago.. thanks for sharing. Julien

Hi, Scotty, Wow, what a talented family! That new Motif sounds terrific with your fantastic violin playing floating nicely over the arrangement. Isn't it great when a new instrument sparks the creative fires? Beautiful playing by both you and your sister! Bob

This is really beautiful Scotty. My only nit is that I kept wanting to hear just one violin. Either way, really pretty.

It's pretty w/one lin. So you do re-mixes based on advice from Tim? But not me :-( I feel like Rudolph... For some reason I get a visual of like a gangster movie, at the end? And people are being gunned down mercilessly... Bullets are flying, people are being blown to bits, there are tufts of feathers floating down in the air from the pillows that have been whipsawed by the phalanx of bullets, and a slow mo of the bolt as it cycles on the tommy gun... Not sure why, it just feels like it belongs in a Godfather movie, or a scene from Goodfellas.
