Wasn't there an argument back in the early synth days that using them was a "musician violation" and that it was not real music because it was not made by real musicians?

I think there should be a program that has one big knob. The user dons a really spacey looking helmet that supplies oxygen, food and beverages while they kick back an imagine they are a supper star on stage playing the tune in their head. When the gig was over they could turn the knob and two DVDs would shoot out on the desk.... one shrink-wrapped including bar code and the other ready to watch and listen to.

I refuse to listen to bands that have hybrid guitars (i.e. non-standard issue parts, such as Seymour Duncan pups in a 63 Strat). That's not a "real" guitar.

It's already down and sure seems to be dragging out. I've opened a can of worms now....I wonder if somebody is designing the knob to work with touchscreen?

One can accomplish much with just a single knob, indeed, sometimes much more than is actually required.

The best part of this debate fred is the realization that tools exist to suit the needs of the builder. {tongueInCheek} I hope Seymour Duncan does not see spacey's pup winder and say "Man, those are not pickups". {/tongueInCheek} Michael, notice the {tongueInCheek}

Man I got tied up with some folks talking guitar builds and come back...LOL what a great fun. "Songsmith" !! LOL I remember the "Shopsmith" a big motor designed like a transformer to be many tools with big blades that spun fast...thing scared the hell out of me...I just can't find the nerves to mess with Songsmith. Bapu...you're the reason my side hurts. While feeling around I did realize I got half of it taken care of so now I can start designing the helmet and life support. Seymour Duncan! I went all out Bapu....Jason Lollar inspired the winder LOL.
