This little Chromebook is great for sitting in the living room surfing the net. Boots up almost instantly, and with wi-fi I'm connected everywhere in the house. I did get the netgear wi-fi thing working.
Still not used to the lower-case letters on the keyboard, though.
Long-term plan is to use it for watching TV and ditch TWC TV. It has an HDMI output and I've got a wireless keyboard/mouse, which works, despite it not being made for chrome.
A good buy, I think.

Tis going around. Of course all you need is a new hard drive and that backup image (gulp) you made just last week.

I'll be using multiple inputs for TV. Antenna for over-the-air stations so the room mate can watch her soaps and local news live, the smart TV for HULU and netflix, and the computer/internet for stuff you can't get on the former inputs. It'll be my DVR, sorta.

Sorry to hear that Daryl.....how often do you generally backup your HD?
I think I just had Acronis backup my OS/Software HD one time (after finishing installing all the major software......I probably should do it more often....yes? no?

At least once a month. Unlike bapu who's last BU was July.

Honestly though, since July I had not done that much to my C: drive that could not be easily recovered.

I backup my projects folder after heavy recording or mixing.

All my downloaded sample libraries are on my NAS (Raid 0).

For the most part I'm pretty protected sans sending having another backup copy of EVERYTHING in a fireproof home safe.

I always take it as a "sign" when a mate has a component failure that I need to be all over it for my systems.

SSD or the normal HD?
I just love my SSD (OS/Software) and how snappy/quick it is......my next SSD purchase will be for my samples drive (if the 1-3 TB drives come down in price).

I just installed a new 1T WD that I've put win7 on and I'm in the process of installing my other apps so that I can retire my current C: drive.  It will take a while.
