Drew, Nope, it's just a WAP. The "modem" is in another room altogether. I span out in three directions from there. This WAP being one of them. The "modem" has a WAP in it, so where it is located covers our two guestrooms as a WAP and two extra LAN ports if a hard wire is required in that room. The only room I choose not to hard wire or WAP is our master bedroom. By the time we get in there at night the internest is the furthest thing from our minds.

I'm kerfused. Is the WAP in the room a repeater? Udderwise it seems to me like you must already has a wire in that room...  You surely know you can get a 5 port switch for like $30?

Room A (bedroom) = ISP Router/4 port switch/WAP. Too far away and/or too many walls to be used by the Roku (wirelessly).
Main TV Room = No previous CAT5 wiring. That is where the new WAP was installed. It's a D-LINK DW-G700AP, with the CAT5 ran back to Room A and plugged into the router.
Without seeing the room and it's weird attic/no attic configuration; suffice it to say that the closest I could get to the TV (from within the house) is the opposing wall about 15 feet back. That is where I ran the new CAT5 and have the WAP.
In order to get a hard wire to the TV position (without opening up the inside walls) is to come out of the attic and externally run a CAT5 for for the 15' and enter the wall behind the TV.
The 15' between the TV and the opposing wall has no attic. It's a 12' high pitched roof that was added on to the existing house back in 1987. The opposing wall is where the attic ends.

So you have CAT5 in the same room, but it's just not really feasible to run the wire indoors to the other side of the room because of walkways, aesthetics or whatever, is that it?
(Not that it really matters as if it's working now, then it works. I was just kerfused.)
