I spent the weekend setting up my studio pc (fresh install), and updating and installing SONAR and loads of plugz. Getting there..

Ken, at least the good thing about a fresh install is you get the opportunity to install only the plugs you really want to use......unless, you're a plugin hoarder.
The bad news is, you'll eventually get stuff you won't use.

The free ones I find useful are a few of the http://www.tokyodawn.net/tokyo-dawn-labs/ plugz and http://klanghelm.com/contents/products/MJUCjr/MJUCjr.php 


I have the full version of MJUC and it is an excellent plug.....very inexpensive too (especially at KVR). Good stuff and highly recommend getting the full version.
 
I've heard good things about the Tokyodawn products (IIRC, someone said the EQ?? was really good)....will have to check that out.
