Can we just move everyone's post counts over?

I mean assuming* we had a delimited list of members over there with matching names here and their current count here?

*You can safely assume that certain unnamed people could quite easily retrieve the post counts of everyjuan with more than, let's say, 500 posts, match it to an identical username over there and produce a delimited list (in any format desired) with fairly minimal work if sumjuan could sumhow make use of such a list.

In order, then, to discover the limit of deepest tones, it is necessary not only to produce very violent agitations in the air but to give these the form of simple pendular vibrations. - Hermann von Helmholtz, predicting the role of the electric bassist in 1877.

I'd love to not have to start over from scratch, as Bapu didn't have to

I think James is the first non-Moderator to have his old post count transferred over.  If Bapu approves, it can shirley be done and I can help him do it if he wants.  I thought it would be a nice gesture yesterday but haven't asked Bapu yet.

I sent him a PM last night (or perhaps very early this morning) about archiving threads from this place with a webcrawler and whether there's a web server to host such things and what knot, but he seems to be busy for sum reason and I don't want to nag him.

Retrieving things is not necessarily terribly hard (though juan must be conservative so as knot to look like a DOS attack or whatever), but it's not worth spending time on unless there is an actual use for it.
