And if you can easily pull me a text list a members there, that would save some time. No need to do it yet until I'm done over here (in case more people register in the meantime), but if I don't need to bother with that part I won't.

I might have to wait until the middle of the night, because I'm getting lots of timeouts when queying the member list pages here now.

In order, then, to discover the limit of deepest tones, it is necessary not only to produce very violent agitations in the air but to give these the form of simple pendular vibrations. - Hermann von Helmholtz, predicting the role of the electric bassist in 1877.

The mission is yours, Drew, if you choose to accept it

Producinging a delimited list from public web sites is juan thing.

Updating a database is another.

If you build the list I can update the db. I'm a programmer and the site owner.

Any favored delimited format?

I'm guessing just a .CSV file would work, however, I think you'll find why it was hard for me to gather those top three pages!  The server here continuously errors out.  Maybe Ed can ask the Bakers for a member list (most forums can produce this for admins).

I notice quite a few people from here are changing their user names over there though.

Got page 1, but I may have to wait until a dead posting time to get more.  I'm guessing that all the changes is causing some of the problems (too many deadlock retries for the DBA's among you!).

That's fine - we can deal with the exceptions later.

I'm starting to get pages, up to page 5 now...

I'll have a lot of Excel cleanup to do, but that's what I tend to do for a living so it shouldn't be too bad!

On Page 40 (186 posts and above).

Taking a lot longer than it should because I made the mistake of copying everything instead of pasting text only.  Each page takes a while to paste into Excel with the images which I don't care about anyway!

Going to stop after page 40 and do some rearranging then I might add some more without images and be done with it.

You just need to search for lines containing "/Posts":

 <a href="/Posts/Username">Postcount</a>

I don't think any of them wrap or anything, so am I missing something?

EDIT:

Just run find at a Windows command prompt, append redirect (>>) to a .txt file, import into Excel, text > columns, and get rid of the extra chars.

i.e.:
find "/Posts" "Member List _ Cakewalk Forums.html" >> postcount.txt

I'm having difficulty sussing out the database table with the users in it. Seems so simple but I'm beginning to think they (MyBB forum developers) have it hidden somehow.

I can just pull each page, do a find on "uid=" (in that forum's case) to get each line and parse that in Excel if you want.

And I'm not going to load each page manually either, so it's not particularly labor intensive if it's not a really simple DB query for you.

Hey, mate.
I started (again) to take up classical guitar playing with a friend of mine. So I'm going to my 2nd rehearsal at his place this afternoon.
Before that, some mixing. I've got some voices in my head
