I've had Platinum ( registered) for over a year now but due to my wonderful wife (of 38 years) being struck as a pedestrian at no fault of her own by a moving vehicle, it started a very labor intensive downhill spiral with her health resulting in her death. It is only now that I have been able to even the open the box on this program only to find out that as of today it tells me that I only have 5 days left to renew or it will revert back to Demo mode. I realize that these are special circumstances in my case but I paid my original $500.00 for this product and would like to start using it. I'm basically new at this program and have been scrambling through what I can in this program to get it renewed without paying $500.00 more. I started this latest madness when I had 11 days left. I am in panic mode at this point. I have not been able to find a phone # so I can be talked through this dilemma. someone out there please reply with some useful information and especially a contact # so I can beat this deadline. I am in need of some sleep now so I will check back when I wake up. That could be several hours from now or possibly in ten minutes. It's hard to say these days. Regards, Rick

My deepest sympathies Rick and very sorry to hear that. Hope the New Year will bring you some peace. Regarding your Sonar Platinum, I'm a bit confused. You said it's registered, but then you also say that you just opened the box?? Anyway, (IIRC) once you enter the serial upon installation, it should ask if you want to register it online. You may be better off asking this question in the Sonar Forum (at the top) as more people visit there than here in the coffee house. Don't stress, you still have time to get it sorted out.....lots of people in these forums will chime in and help (just need to post it upstairs). Good luck!!

Hi Rick, you didn't post this in the best place really, I think you need to email support, I doubt if there's anyone contactable by phone now. http://www.cakewalk.com/Support#Contact Do you realise Cakewalk has ceased development of Sonar? To all intents and purposes the company has gone out of business.

Hi Rick, and sorry for your loss The servers still works, so I would use Cakewalk Command Center to install and activate everything. As mentioned, you would probably get more answers if posting in the SONAR forum. As to renew. Cakewalk has seized production, and has been abandoned by GibsonHope you get it working. All the best.

Rick, I too am sorry for your loss. Since you are logged in with an Forum ID that has only one post I'm going to assume you used the email associated with that Forum ID to have registered the Platinum Serial Number. You'll need to get the "My Account" section of the Cakewalk website (not in this forum) to confirm that SONAR Platinum is registered there and if not you'll need to register it there. At that point you can then authorize/activate your computer copy of Platinum. That is the short version. If any of the assumptions I made are inaccurate you may need to adjust that flow accordingly if you can or as James suggested email support.
