Have you fixed it yet?

Copied what I could to the backup.  It showed 42 files that were "unreadable", but entire folders are missing so who knows how many files have been lost.
 
Once I "manufacture" enough money to buy a replacement drive, then I get the fun of waiting while 3TB's are copied from two USB 2 devices.  Weeeeeee...

It was my stereo receiver. I got home from work last night and it was on. I turned it off and left the room.
When I came back it was on, so I shut it off again. It immediately turned on... then off, on, off ad nauseum.

One usually has to light it on fire, get updated inoculations, scoop out the larger chunks, sand down one's taste buds, abandon all pretense of common sense, wait until the goat hoof melts, peel off the top layer, avoid the toxic fumes, and dunk a canary before attempting to sip it.
