Wow, Craig is actually serving breakfast today.  But this dang 'Smell-a-net' USB device has bugs.... that becan sandwich smells like manure.

To counter that, ewe just need to get the gnu becan "scratch & sniff" pad.
 
I prefer the "real deal", but YMMV.  

I figured it out - default settings are crap. I'll call the company and tell them it stinks!

Post 1, the good old days....

I remember post one. Why, back then, we had to post uphill. You had to swing your desktop towards Boston in order to fling the bits fast enough to get them up there. We used to complain about the forum software all the time and declare that "this" changes everything, whatever "this" was. We chuckled about the fact that Cake=Bakers. (Okay, that still cracks certain people up.) We didn't know how long this fred would run, nor did we know it would come to be known as the FSF, or even as a "fred" for that matter. We were young and innoce...well, we we're somewhat young an...so, we were younger and slightl...we were a bit less saggy then. We were free to enjoy our suspishuns without alternate spellings. 
 
What do you mean, "Was that before or after the discovery of fire?" Of course we had fire! How else could we cook becan and power our DAWs? That's right, they were steam powered back then. The DAWs, I mean, not the becan. Mooch had a bicycle without a seat, we didn't yet know about Daryk's feelings for primates, and someone occasionally posted in the Songs forum. Those were good times. 
 
We poured the full extent of the collected wit, wisdom and boundless intellect of the Coffee House into the FSF. It made a sort of sploosh sound when it hit the bottom. Before long, the FSF became self-aware and decided our fate in a micro-second. Actually, it decided that we really weren't a threat and left us alone. If that's not proof of its superior intellect, I don't know what is. Of course, making me a judge of what constitutes superior intellect is a bit like asking swamp mud to evaluate string theory. (My apologies to swamp mud for that unfair comparison. I thought your last paper was brilliant.) That's why we continue to come back here. It's a place we can be seen for who we really are, and then ignored accordingly. 
 
Where are you going? It's only 3:30 PM. Stay for supper. We're having becan jell-o. We'll stay up until about 4:00 or so. It'll be crazy! Want some lime taffy? Well, it's like taffy, only the main ingredient is coagulated gravy.

What started with good news this week eventually ended with stressful, time consuming and sadness. I shared important information along with links, and I'm trying my best to answer based on those articles (mostly just passing the message on base on those articles). I'm sincerely supportive of fellow 'Independent writers/performers'.  But dang it, one dude made it obviously clear they didn't read the topic links/articles I posted. Therefore shared his nonsense, rant (animosity) directly aimed at me.  Seriously, that is uncalled for, unjust.
 
I've also spent a lot of time and effort compiling the Sticky Topic in the Songs Forum (many useful links) again, I'm sincerely want to help fellow writers/performers. 
 
And sadly many good people have gone, some of the best guys have passed away.
 
Too much sadness and stress. These are the reasons why I'm leaving.

Hard wire my ROKU, or get the WAP into the same room. Prefer hard wire option but that makes it a longer/harder job.

I think I may just rock in my chair and hum occasionally.

I used my Roku for few years and returned it to Costco. Although Roku served its purpose well (Netflix), there were some stuff my wife wanted to watch on cable tv (I also wanted to watch cricket) and we caved in. 
Are you having wifi connection issues? (you should be getting excellent connection after hard wiring).

Friday night again. Just 1 bottle o' cider for me.

On the plus side, those concrete walls are really good for hurricanes and to use as man caves.

I'm a strong believer in never using wireless for a non-portable device when you can use wired. Double especially for devices that need lots of bandwidth.

Agreed. This one is a nasty task due to the config of the room vs. attic. I may have to resort to a run of CAT5 in an insulated/weather proof tubing on the outside of the house. Fortunately it's at the back of the house. 

Running cable is always a nasty job to me and I have my hack job results to prove it. I just figure I'll patch all the holes in the closets and behind the furniture before I sell the house.

Just another thing where I wish I had the skill to really do it properly, but when you only do something once every few years...

I decided (for now) to go the simple route by moving the WAP into the room. So now it's ~15 feet away and a nearly clear visual path. Seems to have solved the dropout problems I was having.
 
Do now see an alternative plan (utilizing half the job I already did) to hard wiring through the outside of the building. If this position of the WAP proves to be problematic in any way I'll go to plan B.

So the WAP is also your modem?
