While he's currently reveling in the excitement of realizing a significant life goal, the elation will fade as the realization sets in that the attainment of the goal feels somewhat empty. What else is there? Is this it? Is reaching the top of a page in the FSF to be the high point of his life? If so, isn't that rather sad?

After all, Sanity walked away from us. (Actually, it snuck out during a commercial, hailed a cab, caught the next flight to Area 51, and hijacked an alien ship to get offworld as fast as possible...) It hasn't even sent a postcard.
